North West grassroots football enthusiasts were invited to visit the 'Up North Productions' website and vote for their favourite strike from four stellar goals from North West based non-league clubs.

The winning goal came on a night of mixed emotions for Dalton United. The club's first team were playing in their first cup final for twelve years. As the only Division Two side left in the West Lancashire League Challenge Cup, United faced Division One opposition in Carnforth Rangers.

The tie played out at the home of Charnock Richards, and Chubb's left-footed strike brought Dalton back into the game at 2-1. Rangers ran out eventual winners by three goals to one on the night.
