A Message From Our Chairman, Phill Rigg.

Following Ben Shirley's departure as First-Team Manager, I would like to share our plans for the future of Dalton United. Our ambitions for developing our Club and players remain the same.

I'm delighted to announce that Andrew Marshall will be appointed to join the First Team Management starting next season. Andrew joins us with an excellent footballing background, including UEFA B qualifications and Step 5 and West Lancashire League experience.

Andrew will be the first appointment to reconstruct the senior section, strengthening our team and complementing the current group of experienced and successful managers.

When speaking to Andrew about this appointment, he said,
"I am excited to return to the Club and make a positive contribution. The Club has significantly developed in the last five years since my last stint here.
"I hope to have a positive impact alongside the growing group of managers within the Club. Collectively, we will continue to focus on Dalton United and its development. We hope to bring further success to Railway Meadow."

Current First Team Manager Lindon Cooper added,
"I'm looking forward to working with Andrew next season. His experience and knowledge will definitely add value to our team at the Club.
"I have been impressed with him in our initial discussions regarding plans for next season both on and off the field."

Next year, we will be looking for new coaches to support five senior teams, including our ladies team.
